Our most popular Workshop is SUP Yoga – Are you are a yoga studio looking for a unique addition to your class schedule, or a fun way for students in your 200 hour teacher training program to receive non contact hours? In San Diego, we have worked with studios such as Indie Yoga, Sculpt Fusion, Bird Rock Yoga, The Yoga Mat, and Ginseng Yoga to create a fun filled experience on the water! We also offer Intro to SUP Racing, SUP Fitness Workshops (Perfect for Gyms looking to mix things up!) SUP Surf, and SUP Adventures.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ How do I book a class?

To book a private lesson, SUP Yoga Workshop, personal training (SUP Fitness based), group SUP instruction, or Race Workshops in Ventura – please contact us HERE. Please book 48 hours before your desired time.

+ When do weekly classes run?

Paddle Into Fitness does not currently offer weekly classes (private bookings and workshops only) but our certified Affiliate’s and Ambassadors do! You can find Affiliate Locations and contact information on the Find a Class page.

+ Do you offer paddleboard rentals?

Sorry, we do not offer paddleboard rentals.

+ How long are private lessons or workshops? What equipment comes with the class?

They are 90 minutes long. Every SUP Yoga or SUP Fitness Workshop will include a beginner lesson and water safety in the beginning of class. You will receive a board, paddle, PFD, and anchor (SUP Yoga or SUP Fitness).

+ What do I wear?

Wear the same clothes you would wear to a regular yoga or fitness class. If it’s warm and you want a tan, you can wear your bathing suit. If it is cold, we recommend a spring suit or wetsuit top. Don’t forget your sunscreen and a trucker hat!

+ Will I fall in?

We run our classes on calm, flat water and use wide, stable boards that make SUP easy for beginners! There is a chance you could fall in, but you will not be in the water constantly. Bring a change of clothing just in case, and leave expensive items and sunglasses on the beach.

+ Can I take a SUP yoga class my first time paddleboarding?

We teach water safety, equipment intro, paddle technique, and turns before each SUP Yoga workshop, so you will be perfectly OK if it’s your first session! We have many first time yogis and paddlers attend our lessons. All of our instructors are experienced and certified in water safety, and many of them are lifeguards.

+ Do I need to be an expert to perform the poses on the board?

Not at all! We offer modifications for everything, and it’s really about being outdoors and having fun. Our yoga instructors know exactly how to teach to beginners and keep it simple.

+ Do I need to know how to paddleboard before an Intro to Racing Workshop?

We highly recommend you have some paddle experience before taking a Race Workshop (but not required), since we will cover advanced stroke technique, pivot turns, race starts/finishes, buoys turns, and finish with a FUN race!
