Savasana on the Seas // a SUP Yoga How-To

Savasana (or Corpse Pose)

Savasana is undoubtedly the most relaxing and important pose of any yoga practice. It gives your time to absorb all the benefits of your practice, and float off into bliss on after your SUP Yoga practice. Lie on your back on your board with hands resting open in the water and feet splayed open. Eyes closed with slow relaxing breathes, find the connection to the water. Consciously relax all muscles in the body, neck and face. Stay in this pose for 5 minutes for every 30 minutes of practice.

To come out of the pose slowly wiggle your fingers and toes, roll on your right side for about 5 breaths then slowly come up to a seated position with your head coming up last.
