Day 1 – Sunday, April 28

Arrive at Puerto Vallarta airport (PVR)
30 minute shuttle ride to Punta Mita, check into Hotel

8pm: Welcome Dinner

Day 2 – 5: Training Days (Monday, April 29 – Thursday, May 2)
9am-12pm: SUP YOGA time! Learn how to teach our Beginner SUP lesson, Gentle Wave, Nautical Flow and Surfer’s Sculpt classes through taking the classes, partner teaching and group teach-backs
12 – 4pm: Lunch/Siesta time
4 – 6pm: Back on the water! Work on perfecting your paddle stroke technique and turns; interval training; water safety training and review of how to teach all four classes.
7pm: Restorative Beach Yoga class
8pm: Group Dinner

Day 6 – Friday, May 3

9 am – 12pm: SUP SURFING clinic with Gillian (or additional SUP YOGA review)
12 – 6pm: Lunch, open day to explore/get massages/relax
6pm: SUP YOGA Business Plan Workshop; Closing Circle; Certificate Ceremony on the beach
8pm: Final Group Dinner

Day 7 – Saturday, May 4

8am: Goodbye Breakfast

Paddle Into Fitness SUP Yoga Teacher Training

Learn to teach Paddle Into Fitness® signature classes from our experienced team of instructors: Roxy SUP Athlete and RYT® Gillian Gibree and Mandy Burstein, RYT® 500. Receive over 25 hours of water time honing your paddle skills and gaining the knowledge and confidence to teach SUP beginner lessons, Gentle Wave, Nautical Flow, and Surfer’s Sculpt classes of your own. You will also learn how to create and market successful SUP Yoga classes in your community! Certified yoga teachers will receive 30 hours of Yoga Alliance® CEUs over five fun-filled days!

Requirements: You will need to submit your current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. You should be a proficient swimmer, be comfortable doing water sports, and have at least two years of yoga experience. It is highly recommended that you already have your 200 Hour RYT certification through Yoga Alliance, however it is not required to apply.

Fine Print Disclosure:

In joining a Paddle Into Fitness (PIF) retreat certification you agree to cover any and all cost or fees that you may incur associated with date and time changes of the retreat training you are joining. PIF reserves the right to change dates and/or times of our retreat training at our discretion, in response to natural disasters or other changes outside of our control. In addition, PIF will not be held liable for any lost or stolen personal items, injury or negligence during a teacher training. We strongly suggest travelers insurance as date changes are rare but possible.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event that an applicant to the PIF program is no longer able to attend the training applied to and paid for 60 days notice is required for full tuition reimbursement. If at anytime within 60 days of the retreat training start time an applicant applies for reimbursement a 50% cancellation fee of the tuition will be held to cover all expenses and losses to PIF.
